Triple femicide goes unpunished in Tulancingo, Hidalgo

Three women were found murdered with evident wigns of violence inside an apartment in Tulancingo, Hidalgo in Central Mexico.

The Attorney General of the State of Hidalgo (PGJEH), is already investigating the triple femicide; the victims were tied by their feet and hands with cables, in addition to showing wounds caused by a sharp weapon.

PACHUCA, HIDALGO. (APRO).- With wounds in the neck – a cut from the trachea – and other signs of torture on their bodies, three women were found dead inside an apartment they lived in in the municipality of Santiago Tulantepec, located in the Tulancingo Valley region, in Hidalgo.

The victims were tied by their feet and hands with cables, in addition to showing wounds caused by a sharp weapon.

Based on information from security corporations, due to the level of blood coagulation they presented, they believe that the young women had been murdered for several hours.

The discovery occurred on the night of Monday, July 29, after a call to the 911 emergency number.

The women were identified as Yoselin J. S., 26 years old; Guadalupe J. S. G., 23, and V. G. S., 25, originally from Tijuana, Baja California. According to the information collected by the agents, they were two sisters, who lived with a friend in the building located on Miguel Hidalgo Street, in the San Isidro neighborhood, which was cordoned off since the remains were recovered.

Due to the signs of violence, the State Attorney General’s Office (PGJEH) opened an investigation file with the protocol for femicide.

One of the three women who was murdered in the municipality of Santiago Tulantepec, in Tulancingo, Hidalgo state, was pregnant, reported the mother of two of the victims, Balbina Garrido Reyes.

According to the woman, her daughters Yoselin and Guadalupe, aged 25 and 23, respectively, had no problems with anyone, she even pointed out that one of them, the youngest, was studying for a degree in Criminalistics. She said that in the case of her daughter Guadalupe, she was four months pregnant.

The Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP) reports seven investigation files for femicides and 14 more classified as intentional homicides in the first half of 2024, in Hidalgo. However, each file may contain more than one victim.

On July 9, the body of a woman was found in a vacant lot on Avenida 21 de Marzo, also in Tulancingo. In addition to an advanced state of decomposition, The victim was naked and lying face up, tied up by the feet.
