The waters of the river of Grutas Tolantongo were again clear and with its peculiar hue turquoise, look muddy after the rains just nine days ago.
On July 3, an intense storm caused the current to rise, dragging stones and mud that temporarily removed its paradisiacal feature, images that went viral nationwide.
Fortunately, these conditions did not last long and the thermal river in this beautiful corner of Hidalgo has returned to normal, offering visitors the usual beauty.
The ecotourism center’s own official account on social networks shared photographs of what the place looks like this Monday, July 12.
Grutas Tolantongo is considered one of the most touristic aquatic places in the country, even being recognized in the top 10 parks with the most instagrammable hot springs in the world.
