French citizen found dead in Mexico City

The death of the French citizen, who was found dead with his hands tied at the Tlalpan mayor’s office , is not related to indications of kidnapping, extortion or collection of a flat.

In a press videoconference, Omar García Harfuch, head of the Ministry of Citizen Security ( SSC ) explained that the mainline of investigation is related to the commercial activity of the deceased, consisting of the sale of high-end liquors.

“There are lines that point to what they wanted to steal the merchandise that they were offering for sale. Apparently, they were stripped of some bottles with high commercial value, “said the secretary.

He highlighted that a modus operandi has been identified consisting of the simulation of the purchase and sale of goods offered to the public, characterized by the moment in which the face-to-face appointment to carry out the transaction is made, the sellers of the same are subjected to attacks, in some cases, they have been deprived of their lives, by members of criminal groups, of arrests that have been reported in the past days or months.

Therefore, this modus operandi was the same as that used with the French citizen .

It should be noted that on November 27, the person who responded to the name of Baptiste Jacques Daniel Lorman, 45 years old of dual nationality, French and Mexican, was reported by his spouse as missing or absent; referring to the fact that they saw him leave for the last time on November 26 when he left his home in Polanco aboard his vehicle. Being unaware of his whereabouts, the wife filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office.

At approximately two in the morning on November 28, two lifeless bodies were found, tied by their hands, in the Pueblo Magdalena Petlalco neighborhood, in the Tlalpan Districto of Mexico City, for which the investigation folder was initiated in the Prosecutor’s Office of Homicides.

One of the bodies was identified as Baptiste Jacques Daniel Lorman.
