The kidnapping occurred on August 22, 2018 when the Puebla high school student left his home.

The Attorney General of the State of Puebla managed to obtain a sentence against Eduardo “N” and Lucero “N”, of 50 years in prison for each one of them, for the kidnapping of a student of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP).

The kidnapping occurred on August 22, 2018, when a student from a BUAP high school left his home to go to his university campus in the municipality of Acatzingo.

Hours later, the young man’s relatives received a phone call from a subject who demanded 5 million pesos as a ransom. The next day, the captors transferred the young man aboard a vehicle to a second safe house and they had a car accident that the young man took advantage of to escape.

Eduard N, 27, and Lucero N, 30, were apprehended on September 1, 2018 by investigating agents in an operation carried out in the vicinity of the El Conde neighborhood of the city of Puebla.

The kidnappers spent over two years waiting for the hearing, and finally a judge has sentenced them to 50 years in prison.

In addition to the 50-year prison sentence, the kidnappers will also have to pay a fine and repair the damage.
