Mazatlán, Sinaloa.- Real estate professionals inaugurated the 9th edition of the Summit- Expo Turístico Ampi Internacional Mazatlán 2020, which is held for the first time in the port.
Javier Lizárraga Mercado, Secretary of the Economy, mentioned that Sinaloa has an activity that other states do not have, it is an agricultural and fishing leader, it is strengthening its tourism activity to stand out and private investment grew, although the country stagnated due to the pandemic.
“All of them, job generators, businessmen, investors in the real estate industry today represent 10 percent of the entire economic spill of Sinaloa, the real estate sectors, of that size you are, have just given us magnificent news Sinaloa closes in 2019 as the third entity with the highest growth in Gross Domestic Product, that is, in economic development with 2.3 percent growth when the country practically did not grow ”, he declared.
For his part, the Mayor, Luis Guillermo Benítez Torres, pointed out that this is an event of great importance due to the visibility of the port at an international level, which will undoubtedly increase its investment next year.
Cristina Velarde, Director of the Summit, mentioned that the event program was organized with specific topics related to tourism, finance for real estate development.

For the President of Ampi at the national level, Roberto Barrios Gaxiola, Mazatlán has become a surprise in the real estate sector and is projected as one of the best destinations to invest.
He mentioned that despite the global crisis due to Covid-19, Sinaloa but mainly the port of Mazatlan maintained economic stability and has achieved a reactivation that many want, ensuring that the work in subdivisions and condominiums did not stop.

However, he pointed out that there is still more foreign investment as there is in Quintana Roo, with Cancun; Puerto Vallarta in Jalisco, and in the Tijuana-Ensenada corridor, where Americans and Canadians have set their sights to grow investment and housing, but above all, the number of retirees and retirees in the latter area increased.
Mazatlan, he added, is a destination cataloged especially for the national market, and little by little it has grown in foreign investment, but there is still more to do and he estimates that by 2021, the number of foreign investments will grow, especially with the arrival of condominiums and hotels chains
